In November 2021, SHIGERU AG took a stake in Series A of Capretto ehf, a related bio-venture at the University of Iceland.

Capretto ehf is an Iceland-based pharmaceutical equipment development company. In collaboration with the University of Iceland, we are conducting research and development on the drug activity of monocaprin and monolaurin as antibiotic lipids.

In July 2021, SHIGERU participated in a €8 million Series A funding round of Azalea Vision for developing smart contact lenses for the treatment of light sensitivity and ocular disorders.
